About the Event
Course description
Learners will gain an understanding of a variety of mental health conditions and raise their awareness of what they can do to start a supportive conversation to encourage early intervention, leading to better chance of recovery.
Who is it for?
This is for anyone who wants to develop their knowledge and understanding around some of the misunderstood mental health conditions, and also wants to develop their supportive skills to create and sustain a positive wellbeing environment.
This course covers subjects that learners may find distressing, including suicide and self-harm, and you need to consider if you would be comfortable attending this training

Assessment
Learners will be assessed on the practical demonstration of the first aid for mental health action plan and a theory assessment paper
Certification
This qualification is valid for 3 years and you will receive a certification from the First Aid Awards (FAA)
